The Ubiquitous Conformal Symmetry

Conformal symmetry is a powerful tool in all our attempts to study physical systems by quantum field theory
methods. In this talk I will review a few of its most well-known recent applications.
Particular emphasis will be given to a mysterious recent observation that connects thermal one-point functions
of massive theories in higher dimensions to multiloop massless Feynman integrals in four dimensions.
This last example shows that conformal symmetry still has the ability to surprise us with its omnipresence.
